Minority threatens to sue government on Ghana’s financial administration The Minority Caucus in parliament has threatened to use legal and parliamentary procedures to force the Finance Minister and the Government to do the right things when it comes to financial administration of the state. According to the Caucus, the decision taken by the Government to engage the IMF for an Extended Credit Facility (ECF) without parliamentary approval violated Article 181 of the constitution. The Deputy Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Finance and MP for New Juaben South, Dr Mark Assibey-Yeboah disclosed this at a news conference in parliament. Touching on the Eurobond, the MP said the Government must explain why the $1.5bn was reduced to $1bn and how the money will be disbursed. GBC
