WHO says man who died in Nigeria suspected of Ebola did not have the deadly virus The World Health Organisation,(WHO) says the man who died in Southern Nigeria in a suspected case of Ebola did not have the deadly virus. A WHO spokesman later confirmed that the man had tested negative for Ebola and Lassa fever. The man died shortly after being admitted to hospital in Calabar. Meanwhile, the ten people who are being quarantined after coming into contact with the man, who was said to have shown Ebola-like symptoms are still being monitored and will be discharged at the appropriate time.
