Sim Box Fraudsters Are Criminals – Communications Ministry

The Ministry of Communications says Sim box fraudsters are criminals whose nefarious activities should not be linked to the nineteen cents the country charges for Ghana bound international traffic. 

In an interview with Radio Ghana, a Deputy Minister of Communications, Ato Sarpong, said the Ministry is working with the Telecom companies to limit the number of Sim cards an individual can register as well as bulk distributors of Sim cards. 

He said a total of 125,000 Sim cards were retrieved from five of the six people recently arrested.
