President Mahama Leaves For 24th AU Summit in Ethiopia President John Mahama left Accra Wednesday morning for the 24th African Union Summit at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. Mr. Mahama who is also Chairman of ECOWAS is expected to discuss, among other things, the upcoming elections of Nigeria. This year’s Summit is under the theme: "Women's Empowerment Year and Africa Development for the concretisation of Agenda 2063". Deliberations will focus on progress made in empowering African women, the key role the NEPAD Agency is playing in Agenda 2063, outcomes of the Dakar Financing Summit, and decisions made at the Malabo Summit in June 2014, amongst other pressing issues. He was seen off by the Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur. GBC
