Politicise District Assembly Elections - Local Government Expert

A Local Government Expert, Eric Oduro-Sani has added his voice to calls that the District Assembly Elections should be politicised.

According to Mr. Oduro politicisation of the District Level Elections is not a new practice especially at the District Level.

He told Radio Ghana that, if political parties are mandated to have a major stake in the District Assembly Elections, it will attract massive participation and interest from the public as seen in general elections.

He was of the view that, the day the District Level elections will be held should be declared a public holiday for massive turn out from the electorate.
