Road Transport Operators Release Details Of Reduced Fares Effective Friday January 9 Road Transport Operators have released details of the revised transport fares following the 10 percent reduction in fuel prices last week. The details are for long distance travels, intra city and taxis. The reductions range from 5Gp to 20Gp for intercity transport also called ‘trotro’. 5Gp to 50Gp per seat for shared taxis and 20Gp to GH¢3.50 for long distance travels. The new fares are to take immediate effect. This was contained in a statement signed by the General Secretary of the GPRTU Stephen Okudjeto and General Secretary of Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council, Alhaji Aliyu Baba.
