Ghana Tourist Authority awardes Kassena Nankana for its immense contribution to tourism The Ghana Tourist Authority has awarded the Kassena Nankana Municipality in the Upper East Region for its immense contribution towards tourism in the area. Meanwhile, six tourist sites including the slave resistance tree in the municipality are to be developed to boost tourism in the area. This also forms part of efforts by the municipal assembly to increase its internal revenue generation. The Kassena Nankana Municipal Chief Executive,Stanisulus Kandigi disclosed this to Radio Ghana's Correspondent Dangmaa Felix Lambert during an inspection of newly constructed office accommodation provided to the Ghana Tourist Authority by the assembly.
