PPP aims at 50 parliamentary seats in 2016 National elections The P.P.P. says it is very interested in Parliamentary seats in the 2016 General elections. Secretary to the Party's Elections Committee, Richard Nii Armaah, said the Progressive People's Party is aiming at fifty Parliamentary seats. Below Is The Detailed Time Table PPP TO HOLD REGIONAL CONFERENCES TO ELECT REGIONAL EXECUTIVES The Progressive People’s Party has scheduled its regional conferences to elect regional executives as follows: Dates 1. Upper West & Brong Ahafo - 17th January 2015 2. Volta Region - 24th January 2015 3. Western and Northern Region - 31st January 2015 4. Ashanti Region - 7th February 2015 5. Greater Accra Region - 14th February 2015 Nominations Nominations for the various positions open immediately and closes one week before the respective regional conference. The positions to be contested for at the regional elections shall be the following: 1. Chairperson 2. Vice Chairperson 3. Secretary 4. Assistant Secretary 5. Treasurer 6. Organiser 7. Assistant Organiser 8. Women’s Organiser 9. Assistant Women’s Organiser 10. Youth Organiser 11. Assistant Youth Organiser 12. Education Secretary 13. Nine other members of the Executive Committee shall be elected by the Elected Regional Executives to get the required 21 membership of the Regional Executive Committee. Filing Fees Chairman - Ghc500.00 Secretary - Ghc400.00 Treasurer - Ghc400.00 Others - Ghc250.00 Any Female Candidate - will pay 50% of approved filing fees.
