Ghana Muslim Mission expresses appreciation to President Mahama The National Chairman of the Ghana Muslim Mission, Sheikh Dr Amin Bonsu has expressed appreciation to President Mahama for his commitment to make the Islamic Secondary School in Kumasi one of the best Senior High Schools in the country. In this regard, the Government has provided the school with two dormitory blocks, master’s bungalows and a school bus. Sheikh Dr Amin Bonsu was speaking at a fund raising ceremony in support of the Islamic University project at Esereso in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti. He said with the student population currently over 3,000, there is a pressing need for more classrooms, dormitories, administration block and an assembly hall. Sheikh Dr Amin Bonsu appealed to the Government to also support the Ghana Muslim Mission Senior High School at Beposo in Ashanti with facilities to enhance quality teaching and learning. He said education is of essence to the Mission that is why in addition to the one hundred and fourteen schools it established, it has acquired lands with proper documentation and work is about to commence for the establishment of an Islamic Senior High School at Sefwi Boako in the Western Region, Sunyani in Brong Ahafo, Domeabra in Greater Accra and Mankesim in the Central Region. Plots of land have also been acquired for the establishment of a College of Education at Beposo in Ashanti and Mim in Brong Ahafo. GBC
