Captains of Industry call for pragmatic measures to end energy crisis in Ghana 


Captains of Industry have called on government to take pragmatic measures to end the energy situation this year.

They said the current load shedding exercise is affecting the growth of industries and stressed the need for government to find a lasting solution to the crisis.

The President of the Association of Ghana Industries, James Asare Adjei and the President of the Ghana Union of Traders Association, GUTA, George Ofori made the call in separate interviews in Accra.

Mr Asare Adjei said it is crucial for the government to treat the energy crisis with urgency.

Mr Ofori for his part said since electricity and water are the main drivers of the economy, it is required of government to devise ways to ensure their continuous supply.
