Integrated Approach To Resolve Ghana's Water Crisis Advocated


It is believed that improved access to water in developing countries can reduce the workload of women, increase productivity, provide more time for income generation and political participation.

To tackle the water situation facing the country, there is the need
for integrated solutions. 

Deputy minister of Finance, Mrs. Mona Helen Quartey said this at a durbar to climax the Sliver jubilee of the
Ghana Water Company's Ladies Association in Accra.  

She said the integrated approach will provide a solution not just for water but also food, energy and the environment as well as create a balance
between  different users. 

Mrs. Quartey stressed the need to empower women for sustainable growth and development.
