Stop politicising drug issues - Antwi Danso

An International Relations Expert at the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy, Dr. Vladimir Antwi Danso, says state institutions must be allowed to tackle the drug menace if the country wants to win the drug war.  

He said politicising drug issues will only make drug barons take advantage of the loopholes in the system.  

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Dr. Antwi Danso said the arrest of Nayele Ametefe and some other drug issues in recent days is a dent on the international image of the country.  

He said policies must be put in place to tackle the demand and supply aspects of narcotic drugs in the country.

Dr. Antwi Dnso, said law enforcement agencies must implement the laws swiftly by confiscating the properties of drug dealers to deter others from engaging in drugs.
