“Enforce Regulations On Sanitation,” is how the Daily Graphic captions its editorial. According to the paper, Ghana suffers serious household toilet deficit because 30 percent of the population are without proper toilet facilities. The Graphic however welcomes the move by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development to partner Fidelity Bank to construct 20,000 household toilet facilities under the Sanitation Business Model One Programme. It says though the initiative by the ministry and the bank is a positive move, the cure of the problem lies in the implementation of building and sanitation laws. It also believes that deficit in toilet distribution could be reduced through improved regulations, targeted policies and a firm political commitment to implement the regulations at the local level.
 
The Daily Heritage lauds the effort by the Positive Action for Children Fund PACF and other interest groups to end mother to child transmission of HIV. It says PACF has announced 103 grants for next year alone, totalling € 5 million to champion this course. Furthermore, 54 new grants and 49 extensions will be funded to support community responses in this regard.
