Ghana, Denmark Sign 4-Year Tax And Development Programme To Support Economic Governance

Ghana and Denmark have signed an agreement on a four-year Tax and Development Programme. 

The programme which will be implemented from 2015 to 2018 is part of Denmark's development strategy to support Ghana's economic governance and sustain its public finances. 

This was contained in a statement issued by the Ministry in Accra. 

The objective of the programme is to improve economic governance in Ghana by increasing revenue mobilization, strengthening revenue administration and improving accountability of the government to the citizens. 

The total funding for the programme is about $ 40 million. 

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Cassiel Ato Forson and the Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Margit Thomsen initialled on behalf of their countries.
