VRA holds annual safety awareness day 

A medical practitioner at the Volta River Authority (VRA) Hospital, Dr Samuel Davis has emphasised the need for the public to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. 

This will also reduce the impact of those diseases significantly. 

Speaking at VRA's annual safety awareness day in Accra, Dr Davis asked staff in the catering department of corporate institutions to observe strict personal hygiene.  

He noted that any lapse on the part of this category of staff could jeopardise the health status of many people.

The Deputy Chief Executive in-charge of services, Joe Sutherland, called on Staff of VRA to take their personal hygiene seriously so they can become productive in their field of work.

Awards were presented to staff who through their selfless efforts maintained safety in preventing fire outbreak.
