16 days of activism against gender-based violence begins Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Mrs Della Sowah, says though most victims of domestic violence now report their cases to the authorities, much more needs to be done to further create awareness among the rural poor and vulnerable. Mrs Sowah appealed to the media to partner the Ministry in its quest to bring to the barest minimum cases of violence against women and girls, in particular. She said the current situation is a human rights and public health emergency which needs the efforts of all to address. Mrs Sowah said this at a media launch in Accra of 16 days of activism against gender- based violence. GBC
