Ghana to Introduce Brazilian BOLSA Familia Cash Transfer programme 

Former Brazilian Minister for Social Development and Fight against Hunger, Mrs. Marcia Helena Carvalho Lopes has arrived in Ghana to support the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to help introduce the Brazilian BOLSA Familia Cash Transfer programme.

The programme is acknowledged globally as one of the best conditional cash transfer programmes, and for its successful effort in expanding social Protection to the extremely poor and vulnerable.

The visit has been necessitated by the recent cabinet approval of a memorandum on Social Protection in Ghana.
