Seventy seven thousand households to benefit from LEAP Programme from Monday, 17th November The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection will from Monday the 17th to 21st November 2014 make payment to a total of 77, 006 beneficiary households of the livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty, LEAP, programme in 103 districts in all the ten regions across the country. The LEAP is government's social intervention cash transfer programme for extreme poor households. The Deputy Minister for Gender Children and Social Protection, John Alexander Ackon who announced this in Accra said the payment is for the months of September and October 2014. Source: GBC
