ARSOG to enforce copyright law on films shown in commercial vehicles

Commercial Vehicles that show local movies during their journey will from next month start paying between one and two Ghana Cedi every day to the Audiovisual Rights Society of Ghana, ARSOG.

The move is to reward and protect the intellectual property of film producers throughout the country.

At a forum to sensitise driver unions and the public to copyright issues in Accra, a Producer and a Board member of ARSOG, Stanley Sackey said the copyright law will be enforced to the latter and defaulters will be taken to court.

He urged the public to cooperate with the society in ensuring that producers benefit adequately from their works.
