70,000 broken marriages recorded last year in Ghana

A Member of the Association of Evangelical Gospel Assemblies, AEGA, Professor Edwin Nii Korley, has decried the increasing spate of divorce worldwide, describing it as embarrassing to the ministry of God.

He said last year 77 ministers of God in the US abandoned their work due to broken marriages, whilst 70,000 marriages ended on the rocks in Ghana.

Prof Korley, who was speaking at the 2014 National Conference of AEGA in Accra, said many marriages are collapsing because they were built on weak foundations.
