Nigerian Cargo Plane Airlifts Relief Items from Accra to Ebola Hit Countries 

A Nigerian Cargo plane this morning airlifted some relief items from the Airport base in Accra to the Ebola hit countries Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. 

The items include one thousand bags of rice and three hundred cartons of cooking oil, milk and made in Ghana Cocoa products. 

This is the third consignment since ECOWAS chair President John Mahama visited those countries. This is Ghana's contribution to supporting the Ebola hit countries. 

Speaking on behalf of President Mahama, before take off of the items, the Chief of Staff Prosper Bani, said the President is committed to ensuring that Ebola is totally eliminated. 

ECOWAS has finished it's contribution of three billion dollars to assist member countries affected.
 
The United Nations has also established a logistic base in Accra for prompt response to countries when the disease strikes. 

The Guinean Ambassador to Ghana Alafan Kaba, was grateful to government for the support.
