Work with BDC to Streamline Credit Regimes in Downstream Petroleum Sector - Kofi Buah tells NPA The Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has urged the National Petroleum Authority to work with the Bulk Petroleum Distribution Companies, BDCs and the Oil Marketing Companies to streamline the credit regimes in the downstream petroleum sector. This is to help stop what he termed the cash and carry system BDCs are using in selling petroleum products to filling stations to curtail the artificial shortage of products on the market. Mr. Kofi Buah was speaking at a workshop for the Parliamentary Press Corps on operations and challenges in the downstream Petroleum Sector in Accra. He asked petroleum service providers to ensure competitive pricing. The Minister said the ordinary Ghanaian must not be punished if a particular station is unable to pay its credit. He touched on subsidies and outstanding subsidy debts owed by government. GBC
