Afram Plains Fire Service To Prosecute Offenders 
 
The Afram Plains Division of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) is to prosecute all establishments, including shop owners and land lords who refuse to adhere to fire safety regulations. 

Speaking at a forum at Donkorkrom, the Divisional Fire Officer, Eric Ackah said all establishments and houses without fire extinguishers and fire certificates will be prosecuted. 

He however indicated that, many people have heeded to the prevention measures and as a result obtained their fire certificates but the few, who refuse to follow the regulations, will have to be dragged to the law court to ensure that the society is safe from unwanted fires. 

Mr Ackah said that his outfit is working hard to ensure that zero bush fires are recorded this year. 

Adding that this year’s protracted rains has made their work easy since no bush fire has been recorded so far.
