The Daily Graphic lauds the Akuapeman State for smoking the peace pipe after two decades of chieftaincy disputes. The paper says disputes are distractive and inimical to development hence it must not be entertained under any circumstance. The Graphic calls on other traditional factions involved in disputes including Dagbon, Bawku as well as Nkonya and Alavanyo to emulate the Akuapeman state for the sake of development and posterity. The paper says disputes are inevitable in every human society hence the need for amicable settlement any time they occur. 

The Ghanaian Times says while many including government are hopeful that the Ghana Gas Project would provide adequate gas to generate energy and address the power shortages, many others thinks differently. According to the Times, though the chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy, Dr Kwabena Donkor may have expressed his views on the way forward for the country's energy sector, the paper is doubtful because of the current energy crisis facing Ghanaians. The paper says there is no doubt that the national focus now is to get the Atuabo Gas plant on stream to ease the shortages. It nevertheless believes what Ghanaians need now is an assurance that the gas project in addition to the hydro thermal and solar mix can provide the citizens with some comfort in the shortest possible time. 

The Today Newspaper writes on the recent abysmal performance by students in public schools. The paper thinks that teachers should not carry the blame alone and must rather be given all necessary motivation and resources with the appropriate teaching and learning materials to enhance teaching and learning. It says until government stops paying lip-service to the welfare of teachers and motivates them with basic teaching materials no educational policy in the country can succeed.
