Legal framework for implementation of the PPP policy to be laid before Parliament The Legal framework for the implementation of the Public Private Partnership, PPP, policy will soon be laid before Parliament for approval. Cabinet has already gone through the draft document. The World Bank and other development donors are partnering the government of Ghana to develop the legal framework. They are also supporting the country to build the capacity of relevant bodies for the adoption of the PPP as a major strategy to finance the country's huge infrastructure deficit. In view of this, 30-million dollars has been earmarked by the World Bank over-a four-year period for capacity building. A Capacity Building Specialists at the Ministry of Finance, Micheal Awuah said government is taking time to avoid past mistakes that contributed to the failure of the public and private sector to accomplish projects.
