"Ghana Can Only Wean Itself Off IMF Support if Decisive Measures are Put in Place" An Economist An Economist and Lecturer at the Economics Department of the University of Cape Coast, Dr. John Gati, says Ghana can only wean itself off IMF support if government puts in place bold and decisive measures at transforming the economy that will stand the test of time. Reacting to President Mahama's statement that this is the last time the country will be seeking IMF support, Dr. Gati said though the President's statement sounds encouraging, conscious efforts should be made to restructure the economy.
