E/R Minister entreats Muslims to guard against the use of abusive languages & acts that will tarnish Islamic religion


The Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi Boasiako Sekyere, today joined Muslims in the region to celebrate their Eidul Adha festival. He advised them to maintain the peace in the country and entreated them to cherish the peaceful atmosphere in the country by forgiving each other their transgressions. 

He added that, the nation cannot thrive well if it should be disintegrated by chaos. He therefore implored them to guard against the use of abusive languages and acts that will tarnish the name of the Islamic religion. 

The Eastern Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Yussif Amudani Sulemana, urged his congregants to learn to sacrifice for others especially the needy in the society. He added that as the festive occasion depicts, they should learn to give to support the individuals and communities in need. 

The Dagomba Chief, Abu Adams also underscored the importance of Eidul Adha in the Islamic religion and asked Muslims to learn to sacrifice. He commended government for its effort in the fight against Ebola and called for public co-operation.
