Decentralisation in Education Sector identified as major solution to minimise challenges 

Decentralisation of the Education Sector has been identified as a major solution to minimise the peculiar challenges facing the sector.

At a forum organised by IMANI-Occupy Ghana, speaker after speaker believe decentralising education in Ghana is a step towards addressing poor academic performance, inadequate infrastructure, poor teacher-supervision as well as teacher-absenteeism.

They said issues confronting education are critical and therefore government and stakeholders must approach it dispassionately.
