Twin blasts hit Syria's Homs province, casualties feared 

Twin blasts hit near a school in Syria's central province of Homs today, leaving unknown number of causalities.

The twin bombings were carried out by booby-trapped vehicles that went off near an elementary school in the pro-government neighbourhood of Ekrima.

Meanwhile, opposition activists said, many students were wounded in the explosion.

The explosions come at a time Syrian troops recaptured two strongholds of the rebels in the central province of Hama, as part of the government troops wide-scale offensive against the rebels in central and southern Syria.
