PURC announces six point five percent upward adjustment in electricity tariffs as consumers express disappointment. The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission, PURC, has increased Electricity and Water tariffs for the fourth quarter of the year. Electricity tariffs have gone up by six-point 54 percent while that of water is four-point 54 percent. The new water tariff has however not been passed on to consumers due to technical deficiencies on the part of the Ghana Water Company.
