La-Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly supports disabled

Physically challenged persons in the La-Dadekotopon Municipality have been encouraged to register with the Assembly’s Social Welfare Department to enable them to benefit from the packages available.

The MCE for La-Dadekotopon, Rita Odoley Sowah, gave the advice during the presentation of health insurance cards to 91 registered members at La.

She said belonging to the Association comes with some benefits as members will be supported with the two percent share of the Common Fund to better their lot.

Miss Odoley Sowah stated that it is the aim of the assembly to ensure all residents benefit from their taxes.

Miss Sowah said the Assembly recognizes the plight of the physically challenged and deems it appropriate to register them under the National Health Insurance Scheme.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chairman for the Federation of the Disabled at La, Anthony Adarkwa was grateful to the Assembly for the support and entreated colleagues to join the Federation.
