President Mahama assures second compact Millennium Challenge Account take off. President John Mahama says government will do all it can to ensure that the second compact of the Millennium Challenge Account takes off. The about five hundred million dollar compact is dedicated to improving efficiency in the energy sector. President Mahama, gave the assurance when the Chairman of the Millennium Development Authority, Professor Sefa Dedeh presented the final document of the second compact to him at Flagstaff House in Accra. This sets the pace for processes and disbursement of the money to start. President Mahama signed the second compact last month in the United States of America. The compact is a transaction under US President Barack Obama's Power Africa Initiative. Professor Sefa Dedeh, spells out the processes towards disbursement of the money.
