The Daily Graphic which writes on the dismissal of Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah has the leading, truth stands. The paper says the manner in which Appiah was axed is wrong and does not matter whose ox is being gored. It says it doesn't make sense that the GFA which after the World Cup said it stood by the coach should take a U-Turn after giving him a new contract. It says the wrongful manner of the sack is more evident especially at a time he was proving equal to the task. The Graphic says the GFA has no justification sacking Kwesi Appiah and making it look like he was not competent for the job. It says if he wasn't, why will the GFA replace him with his own assistant, Maxwell Konadu. The Graphic says it is not logical and demands that the GFA comes again.
 
The Ghanaian Times is amazed that the Ghana Highway Authority continues to operate shuttle trains without the appropriate lights despite numerous calls to the authority. According to the paper, what is worrying is that the Greater Accra Manager Francis Eku Quagraine attributed the absence of the lights to robbery. Though management promised to have all lights fixed on the shuttle by the end of this month, the paper doubts that move. To the paper, those who have been entrusted to run the railway sector simply do not care. Though the Ghana Highway Authority is facing challenges, the paper thinks that is not enough excuse to allow the sector to run down. It therefore urges government and other stakeholders to make every effort to save the situation.
