Vice President Amissah Arthur Inspects Facilities @ Hajj Village Government has assured the Muslim community of its continuous support to enable every one of them to fulfil the fifth Pillar of Islam which is the Hajj. Vice President Kwasi Amissah Arthur who inspected facilities at the Hajj village near the Kotoka international airport in Accra, commended the various government agencies such as the CEPS, Immigration Service, Food and Drug Authority and private institutions among others for working to ensure a successful Hajj this year. He also applauded the Saudi government for facilitating Visas for the pilgrims. Mr. Amissah-Arthur advised the would-be pilgrims to comport themselves and behave as ambassadors of Ghana. Mr. Amissah-Arthur, who was accompanied by Sheikh Dr Nuhu Sharabutu, the National Chief Imam, Officials of the National Hajj Board and other Muslim clergy, said Hajj is an important religious obligation for every Muslim, and that, government is working hard to ensure that the people realise their dream.
