The Daily Graphic condemns the decision by the Ghana Football Association to terminate the contract of Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah with no strong reason. The paper says GFA owes the nation a duty to make a public declaration on why it decided to dismiss the coach since the breach of contract indicates another huge judgement debt on the nation if coach Appiah's lawyers finalise discussions with GFA. The Graphic explains that the huge amount that will be paid to the coach could have been spent in other areas of football development but because it was not well thought out the country will have to pay that amount for the wrong reasons. 

The Ghanaian Times expresses worry about the Scottish referendum as its results may spell doom for Africa. The paper thinks the withdrawal of Scotland from the United Kingdom may not be a good idea as it may have an impact on its negotiations with London about its concerns, grievances and problems. Citing examples with chaos in Mali, Liberia, Burundi, Libya among others the Times urges Scotland to take the advice of Queen Elizabeth to keep the United Kingdom united as the survival and unity of many countries, especially Africa depends on it. 

The Today Newspaper calls on government to resource the private sectors to enable it to support science and technology education in the Country. This is because the area of education has been identified as crucial to the development of the Nation. The paper therefore thinks science and technology must be made attractive in basic schools so as to get students to develop interest in the course.
