Test Run Of Atuabo Gas Project Proves Successful

All major test works at the Atuabo gas project have proved successful. 

Management of the Ghana Gas Company is therefore waiting for the Jubilee partners led by Tullow to lay pipelines for gas to flow possibly before November. 

When ready, the project will eliminate the current practice whereby the VRA spends $ 3 million to procure crude oil daily for electricity generation. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Director of Communication of the Ghana Gas Company, Alfred Obgame, said the project will also provide about $ 1 billion annually for the country.
