PPP calls on government to tackle alarming cholera situation

The Progressive People Party has called on government to tackle the alarming cholera situation with urgency. 

The party says the huge taxpayers’ money which is currently being channelled towards the management of cholera could have been directed to a more important sector. 

Addressing a news conference in Accra, the spokesperson on health for the party, Felix William Ocran, said clean up exercises are not enough. 

In his view what is needed is a swift and policy minded attitude to bring the disease under control.
