Otumfuo Osei Tutu extols virtues of a Good Journalist

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu says media practitioners must focus on the unity of the nation and bringing politicians, civil society and the ordinary man together as partners in pursuit of national development. 

Speaking at the 19th GJA Awards in Accra, Otumfuo Osei Tutu said the media have touch bearers of the freedom of expression has the power to change the fortunes of the nation. 

He noted that though the sword has conquered nations and territories at the dawn of civilisation, it is the ideals flowing from the pen that has shaped thoughts and enabled nations to develop good governance systems.
