IDEG charges Political Parties to formulate realistic manifestos to address Ghana’s challenges

The Executive Director of the Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG), Dr Emmanuel Akwetey has entreated political parties to formulate realistic and development oriented manifestoes that would address challenges and better the lot of Ghanaians. 

He said political parties have over the years made unrealistic and adhoc manifestoes without any well-defined road map for their implementation with the view of luring the electorate to vote for them during national elections. 

Dr Akwetey made the statement during a presentation on the Proposed Amendment of the 1992 Constitution and the Urgency for Multi-party Governance Reforms, at a stakeholders forum in Takoradi.
