The Daily Graphic pats all media practitioners on the backs for the role they have played so far in Ghana's march towards progress. It says journalism practice in the country has over the years gone through significant changes to a point where many see Ghana as a beacon of press freedom and this has won the country great acclaim both internally and externally. For this reason, the paper thinks journalists must adhere to the advice of the Asantehene at the GJA Awards that they should not sacrifice the truth, since doing so could lead to the destruction of people's reputation and endanger society. The Graphic is therefore urging all media practitioners to use development journalism to discern and defend the national interest. 

The Today Newspaper joins the Men's Health Foundation Ghana in the call for more health professionals to be trained to provide quality services to men affected by prostate cancer. The paper explains that Ghanaian men deserve better treatment and information regarding prostate cancer since about one thousand men are diagnosed with the disease yearly. The paper therefore believes there is the need to institute a policy on prostate cancer and urges the Ministry of Health to include it on the list of diseases that falls under the National Health Insurance Scheme.
