U.S. Embassy Wishes Ghanaian Muslims Eid Mubarak

The Embassy of the United States of America in Accra has sent felicitations to the Muslim communities in Ghana as they mark Eid.

A statement from the U.S. Embassy, signed by Zainab Mahama Information Specialist and copied to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC) says Ramadan has been a time for families and communities to share the happiness of coming together in intense devotion, reflection and service.  

According to the statement, the United States reaffirms her commitment to partner with Ghana for the mutual benefit of both countries.

“As Ramadan comes to an end, we send our best wishes for a blessed holiday to Muslim communities across the country.  Eid Mubarak.  May Allah (God) protect us all.” The statement added.

Meanwhile, the Office of the National Chief Imam has announced that this year's Eid-ul-Fitir celebration falls on Monday, July 28, 2014, which the Ministry of the Interior has also declared as a public holiday.
