Emphasizing on the Need to Incorporate a Human Face into Drug Policies and Programmes

Speakers at the West African Executive short course on Human Rights and Drugs policy have emphasised the need to incorporate a human face into drug policies and programmes.

This is expected to help deal with stigmatisation and provide adequate support for addicts.

The speakers pointed out that the era where Drug Policies and programmes criminalised addicts must end, they insists that investigating and arresting cartels must be the new focus.
