The Daily Graphic says President John Mahama’s call on ministers to roll up their sleeves and get to work is in the right direction. To the paper, Ghanaians expect a lot from the government especially the appointees. The paper believes that government can succeed if its appointees exert a firm authority over their areas and show positive work values. The Graphic reminds the appointees that they have less than two years to be in office so must approach their duties with all seriousness. They must remember again the ballot box in 2016 and deliver on the better Ghana agenda. 

The Ghanaian Times urges government to demand a better explanation from the US embassy over the controversial tweet sent to President Mahama by a staff of the embassy. The Paper describes the tweet as a diplomatic gaffe and says a standoff between the two countries will not be the best solution at this time. The Times says the explanation provided by the US embassy raises more questions than answers and paints a picture of the US embassy meddling in the domestic affairs of Ghana. The paper acknowledging the anger of Ghanaians by the tweet implores the people especially government officials to be circumspect with their contributions on the issue to prevent a diplomatic row. 

The Today Newspaper expresses disappointment at the ruling NDC government led by President John Dramani Mahama. The paper says in the one and half years of the Mahama's administration, Ghanaians have only witnessed misery, pain, hunger, extreme poverty and series of demonstration. All attempts by government to curb these situations have proved futile. The paper therefore urges the NDC government to sit up and ensure a fruitful national development in the remaining years.
