Parliament Debates On 2014 Mid-Year Review Of Economic Policy And Supplementary Budget Estimates Parliament has begun debates on the 2014 Mid-Year Review of the Economic Policy and the Supplementary Budget Estimates presented to the House by the Finance Minister, Seth Terkper. The Minister designate for Employment and Industrial Relations and MP for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, who seconded the motion moved by the Finance Minister to kick start the debate, stated that development partners have not been fair to the Government in terms of the disbursement of support to help the economy. The MP for Obuasi West and Member of the Finance Committee, Kweku Kwarteng, noted that the strategies by the government to address the challenges in the economy are old recycled measures. He said the Minister only provided Ghanaians with bad news. The Minister of state at the Presidency and MP for Wa Central, Abdul Rashid Pelpuo, said he was glad that in finding solutions to the woes of the economy the nation is not going to the IMF and the World Bank for a bail-out.
