India Police Seek 2 in Gang-Rape and Murder of Girls

Police in India say they will seek permission to take the bodies of two teenage cousins who were gang-raped and murdered in May for fresh autopsy. 

Reports say, the girls belonged to a low caste and were found hanged on a tree in Uttar Pradesh state in a case that caused global outrage.  

The father of one of the victims alleged that he was ridiculed by the police when he sought help in finding his daughter. 

The case which was initially investigated by the state police was later handed over to the federal police.
