Committee To Convert All Polytechnics To Technical Universities Submit Report

The Deputy Minister in Charge of Tertiary Education Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says the special committee set up by President Mahama, to see to the conversion  of all polytechnics to technical universities has completed its work and submitted its report to the Minister of Education.

He said a cabinet memo is being prepared and a road map will be announced soon.

On POTAG, Mr. Ablakwa said  it is unfortunate that the  Polytechnic  Teachers Association of Ghana, decided  to go ahead  with  the  strike after deliberations with them.

He said the  allowance is paid at the  end of  every academic year which in September, and  that the  2012/2013 allowance
was paid in September last year.
