Cecilia Marfo sacked from Church of Pentecost

Ghana's sensational gospel artist and winner of the 2011 MTN Ghana Music Awards “Best Gospel Song of the Year”, Cecelia Marfo has been sacked from the Church of Pentecost.

The renowned musician who was a deaconess of the Ashaiman area of the church was sacked for opening a prayer camp contrary to the rules and regulation of the church.

The Ashaiman Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Nene Amegatse confirmed this to Adom FM, Wednesday.

He indicated countless persuasions to stop Cecilia from operating the camp fell on death ears thus they had to deal with her in accordance with the laws in the church.

Nene Amegatse said they are likely to review the sanction after two years if the Afunumu Ba hit singer complies with the rules.

Meanwhile, all attempts to get Cecilia Marfo for her side of the story has proven futile.
