Five Year Plan To Tackle Neglected Tropical Diseases Launched

Five year strategic master plan to tackle Neglected Tropical Diseases has been launched in Accra.

The document which is an initiative of the Ghana Health Service and its Development Partners seeks to find measures that will help eliminate ten targeted diseases that have burdened Ghana and hampered its socio- economic development especially in the rural areas.

The outgoing Minister of Health, Madam Sherry Ayittey said the five year plan will achieve its goal through a mass drug administration system.
