Controller and Accountant General Inform MDAs and MMDAs, Government Employees on Salaries The Controller and Accountant General wishes to inform Heads of MDAs and MMDAs, government employees on CAGD payroll and the general public that salaries for employees in the Ghana Education Service was sent to the banks on Wednesday 25th June, 2014 and the other public servants on Monday 30th June, 2014. In a statement signed by the Controller and Accountant General, cheques from the banks indicate that the accounts of employees in the Ghana Education Service were credited as at Friday 27th June, 2014. However, the accounts of other employees are being credited by the banks on Wednesday 2nd July 2014. It said public servants can now visit their banks and access their salaries for June, 2014. The CAGD noted that the delay in the payment of salaries for staff on IPPD 2 for June, 2014 was due to the integration of the IPPD 2 payroll system to GIFMIS. The objective of the integration of the payroll system is to improve the budgetary controls and performance of the payroll system. The statement further indicated that the information was earlier communicated to heads of MDAs and MMDAs.
