Tamale Metropolis Still Experiencing Fuel Shortage More than 48 hours after petrol was released by the Bulk Distribution Companies to resolve the fuel shortage in the country, the commodity still remains rare in the Tamale metropolis. Apart from one filling station, motorists cannot find petrol in any other station in the metropolis. Radio Ghana's investigation revealed however, that some of the fuel stations are hoarding and selling to black marketers who then sell to motorists at exorbitant prices. In the Yendi Municipality fuel shortage has resulted in a lot of inconveniences in the municipality. Motorists and vehicles can no longer move due to the shortage of fuel and this is affecting economic activities within the municipality. As a result of this Mr. Alhassan Wemah, a civil right activist is appealing to the authorities as a matter of urgency to make fuel available to the municipality. He therefore urged agencies responsible for fuel management to make it their top most priority so as to ease the burden on the people. GBC
